The newspapers refer to him as "Humanitarian & Guitarist Mike Knight". Those of us who know him and love him call him by the abbreviated 'Hugu'.

Hugu stopped in Milford to play a benefit concert at Santos Dumont on Saturday night. He was greeted by a packed house of loyal fans, some who had traveled as much as a few miles in hopes of hearing him perform some of his original songs. He did not disappoint. Once again, his poignant sharing, vocal stylings and barefoot persona thrilled his audience. As the evening was coming to an end, Hugu even rewarded his faithful following with a very special presentation of "Mexican Seniorita". Below are a sampling of audience reactions to the performance:

The benefit concert did manage to raise a few hundred dollars for Mike Knight's upcoming trip to Namibia. Thanks to all of you who came out and contributed. Thanks Peter and Kathy for sharing your talents to make the night more enjoyable for us all. Thanks Adam & Emeran, Don and Kathy for welcoming the crowd! If you missed Hugu, don't worry. He will be back in the states later this summer after a short African leg of the tour. You can also look for his newest release "Me & Casablanca Too" in stores soon.
